A few days ago I got my new DS bishoujo game Love Plus.
I didn't know anything about it and just got it for the sake of "OMG NEW KONAMI LOVE GAME :D" my fangirl over otome/bishoujo game..
Anyway, here is my short review about the game~
Love Plus is a new dating simulation game from KONAMI. It was released for Nintendo DS in September 2009.
In this game you will be a normal high school guy who will meet three different girls, each with different unique personality. And within 100 days, you will escort one of the girls to become your faithful girlfriend. Each day you can do 4 activities which will raise Sport, Inteligence, Sense, and Charm. Each girls have their own liking of status.
To woo girl of your liking, you have to raise your status and befriend her by emailing (txt message) her on the phone, do activities that includes her, and walk home together.
After you successfully made one of them become your girlfriend, the game doesn't end there. It is just the beginning.. Then you can change the gameplay to either Real Time Mode (RTM) or Skip Mode (SM).
In RTM, you will meet your real virtual girlfriend (same girl as the one you escorted). In this mode the game will continue in real time pace. You can do activities like usual, but they are being done at 9am, 12pm, 3pm, and 6pm. You have to wait each time for the activities to be done.
In SM , everything is like usual, you can easily skip days to do activities without waiting. This mode is very nice to raise status. You will meet your girlfriend alot too in your activities.
After confession, everything become better, and more varieties to each of the function. You can call her for sudden date or plan for a date on Sunday. Txting will also have more varieties now. On your date, you can look at her eyes, touch her, even kiss her. Those skinship steps can be done each time you walk together or on a date (ofcourse, your status and heart level with her will affect).
Sometimes the girls will also ask you on date or by email about their hair or fashion style. You can convince her to change her style for you or you can tell her that her current style is good. But ofcourse everyone wants to see how cute their girls are with different style. You need to raise your inteligence, charm and sense to be able to trigger their style question.

The "plus" part of this game is the "Love Plus Mode". You can only use that mode on Real Time Mode. In LPM, you can see your girl hanging around on the touch screen. Too bad you can't touch her at all, but you can move the screen using the D-pad to see her outfit or surrounding. The only way to interact with her is to talk to her using the mic. She will ask you questions and respond to your question/saying. Sometimes she will say cute loving words, but if she disagree with what you said, she can be cold... You can play "jankenpon" with her too, and each time you win, she will change her outfit to cosplay (talk about otaku love). You can unlock the outfit by fulfiling a hidden quest (meaning you will not now about it until you completed it). For example, kissing the girl 10 times or more, etc.. You can also set alarm and timer to make her wake you up.

As you can see, they all have different hairstyle and face structure. Their personality is also different. I haven't really know much about the girl's personality as I have only played Rinko (the short hair girl) route.
Rinko Kobayakawa
Rinko is a tsundere underclassman who spends her time listening to music and reading books. Supposedly the studious type, but I don't think that is right. She sometimes ask me if studying is fun.. Clearly meaning she is not the studious type. The easiest way to escort her is to boost Sense and Inteligence on the side. She is teaseful and always angry at each little mistake you do. Despite her mischievous appearance, her personal life is abit frustrating for her. Her father remarried and she is not that happy about it. You are there to comfort her and make things straight again for her. I reckon she is the most unique girl from all three.. I also love her voice actor, she has a really cute tsundere voice.
Nene Anegasaki
Nene is a suposedly mature student who works part time in this family diner. She seems to realise that people always mistaken her age for a more adult age. She is known for her helpful attitude towards others, in other words, very caring. She is also the most charming and princess like girl that you can woo in this game. If you have a sister complex like a very mature ojousama type, this is your girl. To woo her you need to raise your charm. I really don't know much about her so to prevent any unwanted comment, I will stop her introduction here.
Takane Manaka
She is your sporty type of girl. She plays tennis and is one of the best one in the school. Too woo her, ofcourse you need to raise your sport status. This girl is the girl that i know the least for, except the cuteness of her voice~ Her ponytail hairstyle can be changed into alot of other cute / pretty hairstyle, that is why I think I will woo her next (abandoning the thought of wooing Nene before her).
In conclusion, this is a very light type of bishoujo game, just like any other Konami love game (that is why I love Konami's love game, not heavy text based game D:). Every bishoujo/otome game lover should play this game or they will regret it. This game brings the point of bishoujo/otome game (woo girl -> date -> confession -> end) into a much more higher level. Almost every text other than player's are being said by the voice actor too, so those who is bad at kanji can get a hint of everything they are saying :)
