I started up Planescape: Torment last night and played through the Mortuary. Has everyone played this game but me? Do I cut for spoilers? I have played Planescape before, but I stopped at some point half-way through and never found the gumption to pick it up again. Re: choosing gender, I suppose that it's because the game is from before Bioware realized they could have girls who like girls in their game, because the Nameless One will eventually encounter a female companion who... actually DON'T become his love interests because I don't think the game even has one, but who the Nameless One is pretty obviously interested in and writes about in his journal. I guess they thought they couldn't either have a girl be interested in other girls back then... or look like a leathery zombie.

Also, pro-tip: whenever you get the chance, update your wisdom stat. Wisdom is pretty much God in this game- it unlocks all the conversation options that gives bonus exp, lets you win fights with debate, see through traps etc. Also one of your allies in-game is some kind of semi-Social Link, so you can strengthen him by having philosophical conversations with him and learning more about him. 'Tis awesome.
