Such an amazing character...even from the little bit we saw in "Everything Changes," and with your typical genius you've gone and given her a believable life and love and personality. Go you! I speed-read throught so I could be the first comment, but I'm going to print out so I can re-read in depth.

You do get to see her for most of episode eight... and that's it. *sighs* But I like to think she was awesome. Thank you!

(By the way, has anyone shown you the BBC microsite? The html version is way easy to navigate, and it's got documents and stuff related to each episode. Obviously kind of geeky, but there are some seriously cute conversation "transcripts" and things that make the characters way more real than the show does...)

HUGS YOU...and resists temptation to go right now...since I am at the Desk Of Doom and supposedly at least pretending to do work.

I get that :)

[Though it provesOwen/Ianto could be canon if it wanted to]

Ahem. Will stop distracting you now ;)

Owen/Ianto could be canon if it wanted to.

And I'm sure it does. After two months of drowning in fic, I'm already loving your Ianto/Owen more and more just for being different. If I read one more schmoopy Jack/Ianto, there will be mayhem. Yeah, I know it is canon, but hey people, show a little creativity.

... Hence the reason I don't write Jack/Ianto any more (well, I've got one where Ianto is trying to have a relationship with Jack but keeps being hindered by Suzie, who is trapped in the Hub as a ghost... but I guess that doesn't count as schmoopy and I may never finish it anyway). Jack/Ianto can be lovely but there's just SO MUCH of it. *sighs* I can see where it would be driving you mad.

Though you've got "Cyberwoman" this weekend (I think) so that will be exciting. Ianto's so pretty when he's sobbing incomprehensibly.

I am looking forward to Cyberwoman, even though apparently that's the one that launched a thousand wimpy Ianto fics.

Sorry to hijack your comment chain into this discussion...

One tends to burn out on anything, even H/W, even bitter, brutal, angsty H/W, and this whole schmoopy/fluffy Jack/Ianto thing held a lot less interest from the start. I wouldn't mind seeing more Jack/Owen, because I think the potential for hate!sex and its component parts (anger/jealousy/revenge etc.) is much higher.
