I would look into the manga if I were you, it is full of implausibly pretty characters who are all angsting in various ways for pages and pages and pages. The anime is equally pretty but less angsty. :D

I just love the Mabudachi trio. They're all so messed up and lovely!!!!
I think I NEED book 21. 16 made me cry on the train home from school (NOT a good place to read it) and I nearly cried at the end of number 20, too. It's so damn emotional!
