october is here and i've been in seoul for a month! because the days are passing too quickly, i thought i ought to sit down and recap what i did this week before i forget!
monday
can't remember what i did. was very very tired because we'd just returned from busan the night before.
tuesday
shopping at express bus terminal with cass! bought some nice stuff but the bag i bought had a spoilt buckle ><
wednesday
went to the super huge kyobo bookstore at gwanghwamun to look for stuff and took a short walk along cheonggyecheon stream since it was nearby. the stream is very beautiful at night and there were lots of couples haha. this was a superrrr cold day (12-17 deg!)
thursday
cleaned my room and washed my bedsheets, finally! went for a walk along cheonggyecheon again in the afternoon and took lots of photos. there were a few art exhibitions going on along the stream which was really cool. there was one that showed how the cheonggyecheon stream area has changed over time, from the olden days when it was a real stream, to the construction of the highway over it, then finally its conversion to the current stream. at night i went for bbq meat buffet near korea uni with the others from smu. it was soooo good and cheap (only $10+ sgd) but i ate a bit too much pork and felt v oily the whole of the next day.
friday
went shopping at express bus terminal AGAIN with the girls and bought alot of stuff! the bag shop lady very nicely replaced the strap for a bag i'd bought on tuesday. i will repay her in the future by buying more stuff from her the next time i go back haha. and then fireworks at hangang river! i didn't expect that there would be sooo many people, families, other foreigners, and couples (many many many couples). everyone was sitting on mats on the grass in the semi-darkness and when we walked away from the mat to return a phone that someone had dropped, we almost couldnt find our way back! the fireworks were v v beautiful and we had a great view although we weren't seated near the stage :D
today
been nuah-ing in my dorm and watching gumiho. hopefully i'll take some time to revise the korean i've learnt so far. 공부해요! tonight we're going for a mooncake festival dinner organised by the sg club in seoul, with mooncakes and lanterns afterward! hope the food will be good haha!
anyway i know i've been terrible with updates, it's just that every time i begin an entry, it feels like there are 101 things to say so i just.. decide to be lazy and not blog instead haha. but i do upload photos to fb very regularly so you can go look at those to see what i've been up to (:
