(no subject)
So, quick update on my mom and her situation.
A couple of days ago my mom woke up feeling very dizzy and having blinding headaches. She couldn't stand on her own, so we all decided to take her to the hospital. She'd been in for a day when I first went to visit her, and she told us the doctors think she might have had a stroke when she was sleeping. Today I stopped by to drop off some flowers, a card, and a snuggie (from Courtney and I, but mostly Courtney), and she looked awful. The doctors have been trying to balance the painkillers she needs with the other fifty pills she takes for various other things, and it is having kind of a negative effect on her. She was very confused, not very coherent, and her eyes weren't quite matching up. Of course she recognized me, but we couldn't really hold a conversation for more than a few seconds.
I'm trying not to let this bother me. I'm nervous, as we haven't heard anything really from the doctors (who have been performing a test a day :/ ), but as Courtney says, 'At this point no news is good news'.
And speaking of Courtney, she's been just wonderful. She got my mom all those nice gifts, plus she's been helping me take my mind off of this whole thing. She took me out to lunch today, and it was delicious.

Also, some douchebag hit my front left turn indicator at Goldenwest and just drove off. That kind of sucked too.
