like a fucking terrorist...
so i went to the US embassy today down by marble arch. that place is guarded like a damn fortress let me tell you. i had to go down because i had changed my flight for thursday(which ended up being cheaper than waiting until aug 24) and i needed a passport, didnt care wether they would give me an appointment or not. so i get there and explain my situation to the passport services lady at the reception. then im taken to this back room where i remained for about 6 hrs. during that time i was interrogated like a fucking terrorist. dumb questions too like "who authorized your depature from the US?" "how long have you lived in the UK?" "do you know that it is illegal to leave the US without a US passport?" dumb shit like that. well after they hassled me to the point of exploding, they agreed to issue me an "emergency" passport for the cheap low price of $100 US dollars! fuckers. and when i get back i have to mail the emergency passport to some place in NJ and pay another $100 to get a real passport!!!! so yea im gettin on a plane tommorrow and ill be back in time to:
a) finish recording
b) finish booking the shows i left on hiatus
c) register for school and actually make it for the first day of class
and d) party like a motherfucker
so what did i learn from this debaucle? dont leave the fucking US without a fucking US passport. that or leave the US forever...especially if bush is re-elected ;)
