the motha fuckin bled
so this weekend was full of rock. and no i dont mean i went on a coke binge. we(takingthefall) practiced pretty much everyday last week for our show on sat and it paid off. the show was a lot of fun. i daresay our best show to date. we didnt even have to tell the crowd to move up to the front and watch us, the curtains just receded and there everyone was, i felt touched. I miss playin every weekend though, but that'll change in due time...i know it...i feel it. So yea the show was nice, got to see the some of the dudes from krud again...last time we did a show with those guys was as overlooked and it was about 4 years ago. damn. time sure flies.
SUNDAY BLOODY SUNDAY we went to whisky and saw THE BLED. we also got to see winterdale who was really good, some white trash band, salem, hope conspiracy and then the bled came on. For me this was the first time seeing them and i expected a good show...i was not disappointed. before they went on though i got to talk to the bassist at the merch table and he has the same jacket i bought at the attic. is that crazy or waht? what? and then as hope conspiracy finished this guy that was sitting at the table right next to us on the balcony gets up and says goodbye to his friends, im thinkin "what the fuck, hes leaving right before the bled?" WEll as it turned out, he was the fuckin drummer! oh man that guy is sick, he fuckin tears it up onstage. So the bled started playin and during their first song, Red Wedding, everyone just started jumping all over each other to get to the front of the stage. in the process some kid got trampled or kicked in the face or both, and they had to halt the show for about 30 min while the paramedics and cops came. this kid was pretty fuct up though, his eyes had rolled back in his head and he was having seizures. paramedics gave him an adrenaline shot and hooked him up to an iv. they also put a breathing mask thingy on him and wheeled him out on a stretcher. so the bled finished their set but it seemed too short. but they played everything i expected to see and hear and it was bad ass. we had to wait about 45 min after the show too to get our ids back because they took everyones id at the door. I guess there was another hardcore show a few weeks ago that turned into a riot. i ended up leaving my id though because im so impatient. it was expired anyway so fuck it. thats about it for now...hot damn though the bled are awesome, i highly advise you all to go see them next time they play in town. bye for now.
