So I ship Fry and Leela. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little ashamed of that. I think I've got it mostly justified but the whole thing where he hounded her for dates for two years (more? idk) is a little creeepy (for the 'too long; don't read' crowd, it discusses, amoung other things, how women passively resisting unwanted attention instead of actively shutting that shit down often leads to rape) even if in the context of the show it's not that bad (I mean, seriously, the first time Fry tells Leela he loves her they end up making out at her place, it's not the boy's getting straight up 'no' signals. Also Brannigan does almost the same thing and Leela just beats him up) I still feel like a bad person for trying to justify :\
On the other hand if you wanna ship something Fry/Leela is pretty awesome. I have no idea what the actual status of the relationship is but there's all these super cute episodes and scenes about how they're ~meant to be~ and they have a shockingly high kiss count even if you don't count robot versions, alternate universes, and time paradox duplicates. (It gets really ridiculous if you do count those things, btw.) Anyway. I'm also a little ashamed that I made so many icons from a comedy show without really going for the funny anywhere ::cries forever::
