So, because I should be studying for my stats and/or cell biology exams coming up this week, I decided to do this instead :P You would think that I might learn my lesson one of these days ...
"Sometimes it's okay to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five favorite fics that you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This is isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same. Everyone else in the world should do it..."
1.
The Torment Bred in the Race This deserves the top spot if only because it's so far my only completed chapter story. It wasn't exactly popular, which I expected even before I started writing it, since it's three main-focused characters are my OC's, and I pretty much destroyed JKR's lovely universe before going back to only stomp on the ashes some more. But I love those OC's each to bits and know them almost as well as I know myself. Plus, it's really really satisfying to write so much just to see how it pans out, and then to have it all actually pan out.
2. This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race
What stopped this from being in the top spot is that's it's still a WIP with a lot of tears and work left into it. I'm hoping to get it done in time for
spn_gen_bigbang but whether that goal's possible is yet to be seen.
3.
A Shining Light I love the atmosphere of this piece: I think that there's a devastation and an acceptance, yet a lot of hope throughout the entire thing. And I just love it.
4.
A House of Cards a Mile High A different take, I think, on a much used theme of late. Only my second story for the Supernatural fandom but one that stuck with me.
5.
You Woke the Morning Up The PB fandom had already dribbled down by the time this plot bunny formed in my head, but the idea was so strong and it just gripped me so hard, demanding that I write it until months later I actually had. Maybe not the best I've written in terms of style and word flow, but kid!Michael and GoodGuy!Aldo make me squee. :D
Now I should really go study. Why I thought university was a good idea I'll never know.
