[24: action]

After the strange fog goes up around the mansion, anyone who walks into the library will find it changed. The ceiling is lower than usual,  the shelving gone completely haphazard, reel-to-reels and newspaper clippings and fat manila folders shoved in among the books.

Walk a bit further, and the black and white tile of the floor begins to climb the shelves, creating walls. The mess of research materials accumulates on the floor, and bright scribbles of crayon mar the tile: butterflies and fish and crude human figures, arrows pointing this way and that, stars and swirls and tick marks that might be writing or might just be doodles.

You can still turn back from here, but if you continue inward, you will find yourself in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

Directions are strange here. The paths knot into each other impossibly, and any markers you leave will immediately be lost amid the crayoned scribbles and piles of papers.

Leaving isn't impossible. All paths will eventually lead back out to the mansion, to the second floor, or the tenth, or maybe even right back to where you started.

But if you spend some time here, you might hear a voice echoing from somewhere within.

If you follow it, you might find Mark.
Or you might find someone else.

shadow!event, weird puzzle shit, white knight, you remind me of the babe, ghosts that chase around my head
