It shows the furrowed trail leading off into the forest, days old but still readable, even in the fading daylight. The boxy hulk of an antiquated video camera lies on its side the grass, still running, if the faint whirring sound it makes is any indication. At the edge of the frame, somewhat camoflauged in a gray overcoat, Mark is just visible, walking steadily into the trees.
