Did you know it's possible for a fandom to eat your brain? I didn't, but now I can see the holes Stargate Atlantis has munched into my gray matter. It's quite distressing.
Alas, it is now four days before summer camps begin, and I'm tearing my hair out with stress. I run summer camps, you know, the ones where children go all day to do arts n' crafts, science and sports. And I'm the one planning one of those camps. Christ. The pressure.
I think that's enough about RL. Let's go back to SGA (om nom on my brain). I've been reading the Fandemonium SGA novels that have been kicking around Chapters. There's this Legacy Series, which is pretty much season six. It's okay. Nothing special. They try way too hard to ship Teyla/John, their characterizations are a little patchy and the plot lines seem a little bit too ambitious, but hey, I can deal with it. But now I have to wait for book three and it missed it's release date and there's no new news and this suucksss.
*pathetic sniffle*
I'm also trying to be more crafty-like now. I've decided to stop wasting my days on fanfiction-ish things, so I bought a book about book binding which I would love to try to do. I learned how to screencap and messed around with GIMP (still horrible) and I'm going to try my hand at fanfiction in real fandoms. And I'm trying to write something kind of like an anthology of short stories, all based off fandom tropes. Should be interesting.
Man, I'd kill for the Stargate program to be real. Maybe if I wish really hard...
