Last Friday was totally free doughnut day at work. Is it not universally known that, where office jobs are involved, that is truly the best of all days? On that day, you can proudly stand up with doughnut in hand and congratulate yourself for having only taken one sick day this month.
Perhaps second best is the day you get fired and give everyone the cold stare and brusque goodbye which says, "yes, I was totally justified in whatever dubious act has led to my firing because I hate this job and because all of you are annoying slugs who can go suck it, for I, being this noble character you see before you, am taking the high road and leaving without a fuss." Isn't that the only civilized attitude, regardless?
I am so stupid for getting no sleep last night! Who knows what I might say or do when I'm sleepy? Spitting water at the computer when the call number search fails just doesn't strike me as inappropriate anymore. Pfffsth!
