Eggplant with Minty Tomato Sauce and Yogurt

I made this last night, from Madhur Jaffrey's World Vegetarian cookbook. I think frying the eggplant was a bad idea. It was way too greasy and fatty. The sauce was delicious, though, and I will certainly make this again, though I'll broil the eggplant rather than frying it.
