i have to say that today was an unexpectedly nice day...it ended really well.

before going out with mr. b i read online that exactly on valentine's day almost 1/2 of dating couples break up due to pressure. is that true?  it's either the pressure from high expectations or the the comparing of commercialized love to reality that causes the demise ( Read more... )

hey chibi! sorry to be MIA for a while! you looked so good in the tet celebration pictures by the way! hubba-hubba! i'm currently still on the job hunt and have even interviewed at jane's place. she let me know of an opening for "office services coordinator" where i'd be filling up the printer paper, passing out mail, and ordering lunch! heehee! also, interviewed at a destination management company for a job planning vacations for large companies on the mainland! i'm still trying to chase my loose end of the rainbow as you can see... i don't know if lauren told you yet but she got an interview with the JET! i'm happy for her. but yuck,i didn't get one, fooey! ;)

bryan and i went to Hiroshi's Eurasian Tapas and Bar in Restaurant Row. it was really nice and we gotta go one day. though i have to warn you that it's "pretty food," which basically means TINY and DIFFERENT. no big double cheeseburgers from cheesecake factory! you remember that! hehehe. it was a set menu that came with three glasses of wine! really good: ahi tortellini roll, shrimp with wasabi glaze, thai lemongrass soup, pears and tofu salad, scallops on kahuku corn and prosciutto pasta (bryan had hamachi with a fried ume rice ball), and a dessert of panna cotta, warm chocolate cake, and strawberry champagne gelato.

bryan worked late, so we ate at 9, but it was worth it. i thought he was going to be grumpy and was preparing myself for a not-so-great evening, so it was nice to open the car door to a big smile and a rose!

how is the summer internship search going chibs? hope well!

i've never heard of hiroshi's eurasian tapas and bar. i wouldn't mind going there to try it out. i can't believe you remembered the menu, and they all sound so ono. that hamachi w/fried ume rice ball sounds interesting...actually just the rice ball.

as for the internship, i'm still waiting for them to get back to me. i've also applied to walgreens in vegas as my other option. i asked taryn if i could live with her if i do get a job up there. i really want a job in hawaii though. *crosses fingers*
