i'm tired
The coffee shop I applied for to work this summer hired me!!!!1!!! :D
I'm so excited to start working so I can get my own money instead of mooching off my parents.
I need to buy myself a new pair of glasses. I need a new guitar. I need to get that recipie for grilled bananas before dinner starts.
In other news, my two friends, one of their college-aged older brothers, and myself are doing this band-project-thingy this summer. We're just going to mess around in her garage playing music and teaching eachother how to play our instruments, and eventually (when we get good enough) play at a local venue. Nothing fancy. Its not to get ~famous, but just to have fun. (being famous is overrated anyway)
We had our first "practice" the other day, and decided which songs to cover and learn. Seventeen Forever by Metro Station, and When It Rains by Paramore were the two choices. I get to play keys on Seventeen Forever, which I'm excited for :)
If this were my personal band, I'd go for a mix between folk/indie/alternitive/rock (if that's possible haha) You know, with ukulele, tambourines, bass, acoustic cute junk that reminds me of brown shag carpets and brick walls with mis-matched artwork.
BUT HEY, I'm okay with what we're doing. Its a learning expirence after all, right?
