Some more paintings. I got tired of being depressed about a bunch of bullshit that's basically out of my hands, or seems to be so... So...

sO sOs So...

I've spent the last few days in the studio working, or trying to...

One of two small white on black paintings...

A recent 30"x40" I'm pretty happy with...

Two 36"x48" paintings that seem to fit Rosenberg's derisive comment, "apocalyptic wallpaper." Now, we all know that that was just his way of dismissing Pollock's work because Pollock was Greenberg's boy, and Rosenberg was busy trying to advance his own critical models on de Kooning's back, but I still think it is a fitting epithet for a type for work that I'd like to avoid, but which I occasionally find myself slipping into (Actually, they're not that bad. It's just that they loose a lot in the translation of photographing them for the computer screen. There's a lot of dynamism in the paint, which just doesn't come through.)...

PS: For the record, critically, I'm a much bigger fan of Rosenberg than Greenberg, as if there was ever any doubt...
