I'm a photographer, and I find I prefer photography to painting and even drawing. I do not put the world through the imperfect filter of my brain and write it in paint, because I don't think one can truly capture beauty if he creates it himself. There is a reason everybody masturbates to photographs but nobody to a painting. As a photographer, I see the enormous beauty in everything in the world and try to relay that. I can never be an impressionist, or an expressionist, and I don't want to be. All I can seek to do is to translate beauty into a language everyone can understand.
