Personality:
Behind the sweet, innocence and oddly childish behavior Tot is rather sweet, innocent, and childish. None of this is due to her being mentally deficient but rather due to a traumatic experience where her biological father sexually abused her. This was so overwhelming for her to comprehend she broke mentally and reverted to a younger mental age where everything was shiny, safe and wonderful. She does not have any memories of the experience, but she does recall that her real father was not a nice person and that he somehow hurt her.
Tot works with a group of other women named Schrient as bodyguards, assistants, and guinea pigs for a deranged scientist named Masafumi Takatori. While each woman has her reasons for working for Takatori, Tot’s come down to his being a substitute father. He found Tot after her biological father’s attack and for his own nefarious reason took her in, became her “Papa” and gave her a new family.
The way Tot thinks is very black and white, something is good, or it is bad. Even though the experiments Takatori was working on were bad, it made him happy and that meant they were good. The ultimate bad in Tot’s eyes would be Weiß as they killed her Papa. By doing so Weiß became the focus of Schrient and Tot’s attention to the point that revenge was the only thing they would settle for.
The only person besides Takatori and Schrient that Tot ever gets close to is Nagi Naoe. She finds Nagi cute, and much less scary than the other members of Schwarz, and agrees to run off with him-after Schreient gets their revenge on Weiß.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Tot is very childlike and innocent, this comes as both a strength and weakness to her. It’s a strength in that she is able to see the good in many things, even if there isn’t any. This however is also a point of weakness, since she can be easily manipulated if she hasn’t decided the person trying to sway her cannot be trusted.
Tot is very loyal to her “family.” As awful as Masafumi Takatori was, he did, at least in Tot’s view, save her life. This loyalty becomes a weakness as Tot is unable to accept that what he is doing is wrong, and that his death was a good thing. Tot’s whole focus comes down to revenge for what was done to her family.
While she may look cute and unassuming, she can defend herself. Normally she would use her umbrella that doubles as a weapon with its sharp pointed tip, but even without the umbrella, Tot can fight when needed.

[Tot sits poking at the different buttons on the odd phone in her hand, determined to get it working. Suddenly there’s a loud squeal followed by the sound of laughter before the screen actually turns on.]
See Tot can make it work! [Although it’s obvious to everyone else that she’s not doing a very good job at it since she’s just randomly pressing buttons. She does eventually stop and looks at the screen.]
Hello? Hell? Schön? Neu? Papa? Is anyone there? [Getting no immediate response upsets the girl somewhat. ] Tot’s lost and doesn’t know how to get home.
[There is a sort of grumbling coming from off screen.]Snubbull. Snubbull.
That’s right! [She grabs the Snubbull around the neck and squeezes it tightly. ] Tot’s not alone; Tot found a puppy.
But it’s not the same thing.
Third Person Sample:
It is fairly obvious, even to Tot, when she wakes up that she is not at home. The bed does not feel right and there is music playing but not the usual music that fills Papa’s house. She notices the normal sounds that typically frequent her home with Schrient, noises from the lab, Schön telling herself how pretty she is, or someone playing the piano are missing. As Tot sits up and looks around the room, she realizes it is worse than she first thought her stuffed rabbit Bunny-chan is missing. Calling out to the others who should be there, gets her nothing more than silence in return. Everyone was missing, Hell, Schön, Neu, and Papa. None of this made any sense.
In the corner of the room sat an odd bag that Tot did not recognize, and there on the table next to it sat a red and white ball. Something about the ball seemed vaguely familiar, although Tot did not remember ever seeing anything like it before. She walks over to the ball and picks it up, turning it every which way to try and determine what it was. Since there was no one around to tell her no, and as the ball did not appear to be dangerous in any way she presses the button on its side.
In a flash a pink dog with blue spots is standing before her and an adorable thing it is, or at least Tot thinks so, after all it does match her usual dress. “Puppy,” she squeals with delight at the bizarre dog. Dogs are smart, just maybe this one can help her figure out where she is and how to find her family. She grabs the backpack and the red and white ball, since the incorrectly identified dog seems to insist upon her bringing them before they go walking out the door ready to begin their search.
