Building Impact

Mar 07, 2017 09:13

So my newsletter went out yesterday and I can honestly say that it's way better than it was before. The most impactful thing that I said is as follows:

Loyalty comes from a well stated belief that draws people in and inspires them. Simon Sinek states that “people don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.” So if you’re not constantly telling people what you believe, you’ll hire individuals that are just in it for the money. You want employees that would work the extra mile regardless of pay. Roughly 36% of individuals are willing to lose $5,000 per year in salary just to work in a pleasant place. So how do we create a positive work environment?

Trust me, I had to do research for all that information. I'd provide a link for you to read more if you were interested, but it's a work email type of thing. If you really want to read it, just let me know. In other news, I'm prepping for leading a team training and I am officially certified in 3 assessments (DISC, Motivators, & HVP).

Personally, I went to see Get Out and it was good. Not scary at all, just astonishing. Not to give anything way, but it's given me a whole new view of how crazy people can be. Might have to do background checks before dating a person now, lol. That new Linkin Park song Heavy is growing on me. I would've given it a scathing review a couple days ago, but the radio keeps playing it and I've changed my perspective. I'm still trying to get into the new A7x songs...I do have favorites, but I need to listen to it on loop to give it a better review. Oh, I almost forgot. Living with a roommate is hard...really hard. Details on that after he moves out (March 22). Ciao!
