Just a reminder - if anyone official-like wants me to take this stuff down, I will. I think it's important for people to see how good a job some folks are at telling a fun, engaging comic book story without resorting to continuity-porn on every page. Jeff Parker's one of those guys.

I don't have anything against Jessica Alba (actually, given the rest of the cast in the past two FF movies, the only one I really dislike is the guy playing Doom), but *my* Sue Storm would be played by either Cameron Diaz (for the old school/ girly but push her and she kicks your ass that was Sue for the first 150 issues of the comic) or Charlize Theron for any version of Sue since 1978.
She actually *really* reminds me of a model/actress I know here in Toronto the way she's been portrayed by Cruz and Parker, and I'm pretty good with that because that woman is a young mother/soccer mom type and that's EXACTLY the way Sue should be. As it is, even so, there's an emphasis on Sue and Jean's bodies in the art here that I don't think I like, but I was saying that this is a problem I've always had with Cruz. he gives great performance but his women are a little too "idealized" for me, even for a superhero story.
Sue should be mid-30's now, I think, just as Johnny is *just* hitting 30 the way Peter Parker is. Reed and Ben are 45-50-ish. Again, that's the way I see them, but I'm a guy who just turned 40.
In this story take those numbers and slice about 10-12 years off of them.

Ugh, agreed. I think my "favorite" part was his temper-tantrum during the "OMG! I have lightning powers!" scene.

Yeah, he does have some gravity-defying boobs and unnecessary butt shots, here.

No, that sounds about right to me, too.
Although I have to say it's going to be weird when I start outgrowing even more of the heroes I've known since I was a kid
