Our first national anthem was a lot like one of those themes that seems to be determined to go over the history of the place of it's origin. I had an MP3 of Anne Murray singing this (can you get any more Canadian than owning a recording of Anne Murray singing THE MAPLE LEAF FOREVER acapella? Idon't know... maybe you have to be eating pancakes with maple syrup at the same time...):
