Apparently Mssers Burton and Selick (the latter being the picture's *actual* director - anyone else remember MONKEYBONE?) have added new 3D fiddly-bits to take advantage of the fact that, when you're dealing with an entirely studio based reality and hand-made cast members, you have no limitations for horizons or boundaries - it's going to be like a live puppet show going on in front of you where the characters occasionally leave the stage and fly to within about a foot or so of your face...

:)
I went on my first date in high school to see this movie. I remember scaring that boy away because I did not like him very much. I spouted some paranoid delusions of the government controlling the weather and that spooked him good.
I was enthralled with that movie. I still am. At Disneyland, they makeover the Haunted Mansion ride to be all Nightmare Before Christmas style and it is really well done.
Call me pervy, but when I first saw that picture, I thought she was grabbing for his crotch, and his fantastically-large member was reaching for the popcorn.
Damn my slow-to-load friends page, before the Nightmare pic uploaded, you had me all excited that there was gonna be a new Count Floyd movie!!! Scary stuff, eh kids?
