*headdesk*

So, yesterday, I finished my class very first class for NorthCentral University. Yes, on the last day. No, 13 hours early. Yes, after I thought I would need an extension. Yes, I wrote 2 papers on the same day. No, I didn't panic last-minute; I knew I had 50% of the course to do as of 8 days before the class ended.

So, still wound up and wanting to hunt&destroy homework, I noticed I have the syllabus for my next class. I say, "I'm going to get started!!" I search for my books on the computer, and find that the same book that we used in Stats back at Wells is required for this class. Same title. Same author.

I get up, and after kinda waiting around a little bit, I go to the basement, search for the textbook, give up, go back one more time, and find it. Woo-hoo! Textbook I didn't have to pay for!

I sit down with it, and I probably do 10 activities. Some are very easy. Others, I'm drawing out graphs in Paintbrush one pixel at a time, because I haven't gotten the software program yet. This goes on from 10am to 3pm, with slight intermissions to make lunch. (I made refried beans. No, really, I made them. I opened the wrong can, and had 6 servings of pinto beans looking at me. So I mashed and fried them myself. Probably sucked, but was definitely seasoned with effort. Effort taste great, and is a low-calorie food.) So, probably about 4 hours of work.

It crosses my mind once or twice that I might have an older textbook. It crosses my mind once or twice that IF I have an older textbook, then maybe SOME of the questions are going to be different. And then it gets *great*.

1 question is marked as "do A only." Yeah, there's no (A)(B)(C). Ok, well, what's the next question? No, wait, that's the one that says it needs the software (SPSS). ...that's OK, I'll take a look anyway. No. No. Not OK. The syllabus says I need a software program. This question I can do in my head. It amounts to probability(A)=.46, what is the probability of (notA)? .54 ! .54! I do not need SPSS for this. I do not need a calculator.

So, now, I'm assuming that all of the questions are different. I have to wait for the new book to arrive, by which time, I will have lost all momentum. I kept my assignment anyway, in case a few are the same. But it's just a total defeat.
