Greed is one of those Hughes highly respects for both skill and personality and likes to think of him as a friend (which, as has been somewhat explained elsewhere, makes him family). Whereas he believes Greed goes a little far when it comes to womanizing ((How many times do I have to tell you that she's already married Greed?!)), he sees underneath it Greed's heart of...well not gold, but something that's definately not evil, unlike the rest of his siblings. Seeing Greed's reactions to those he cares about, Hughes regards Greed as somewhat dependable, if not slightly off his rocker. He enjoys spending time with Greed, as his unpredictablility in any situation makes life far more interesting.
Like most of the single people Hughes interacts with, he believes Greed should settle down and find someone to stay put with. He knows there's very little chance of that ever happening, but hey, a guy can hope can't he?))
((I can't even remember the last time these two interacted so there's not all that much to go on. Please forgive this for being vague and short :D;;;
From what little he's seen he doesn't really know what to think. I mean sure he knows her, but he doesn't know her. She seems withdrawn to him, not revealing anymore than she has too to him, whereas he's used to pretty much showing everything at first meeting. Who knows? If they ever get the chance to spend more time, he may think of something.))
Hehe, she's a little stand-offish to most at first. She feels kinda bad for the whole betting thing with Hughes and Greed. She likes the pictures he showed her though!:D It'd be cool if they were able to get to know each-other better. ^^
To quote you somewhat: "It's Al, ALLLL!" Hughes thinks of both Al and Ed as something along the lines of the sons he never had, and he couldn't be happier with how they get along so well with Elysia. He loves Al to pieces, though, this one in particular. He was one of the first people Hughes actually knew when he showed up in the Nexus. True, it took awhile for Hughes to recognize Al, but it still gives Al brownie points for being first to show up and be all "OMG YOU'RE NOT DEAD OH HAPPY DAY!"
Just as it is with Elysia, Hughes doesn't seem to have the heart to say "No" to Al unless it's something he knows is bad for him (Al being the master of puppies and rainbows helps, but Hughes would still find it hard anyway X3). He'll always be willing to help Al out with anything he needs, whether it be for advice, something needing to get done, whatever, he's there.
What is there that I can't say about Edward? As said with Al, the Elrics are the sons Hughes never had. He absolutely adores the boys, doing whatever he can to help them out.
Ed being the older one of the two, Hughes likes to give him a little bit of a hard time, but he never means any of it. He likes to think he sees a little bit of himself in Edward, save for maybe that Ed's temper is a lot shorter than his, but otherwise he sees himself in Ed's devotion to his mother and brother.
Hughes does indeed approve of Ed and Riza going out together and wishes them the best of luck.
Hee. ♥ Ed's glad to have Hughes as part of his family- the whole absent father thing never did sit well with him, and now that he's stopped hating his father because he found out the why... he'd like that kind of figure in his life again. Not an actual father, but that sort of male role model. I don't think he really realizes it, but he's certainly enjoying having it with Hughes.
Heh. Ed's temper has kinda died down a bit. XD; A bit. Although it's kinda showing back up a little now that he has something forcing the life back into him which is good to seeeee... ♥
HEE! ♥ Good. :3 Ed fully intends to take good care of her.
BUT WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON YAOI? 8D ::coughs:: Sorry.
Ah yes, Tohru. Hughes believes Tohru to be something of what he hopes Elysia to be when she grows older: kind, sweet, and never failing in her ability to bring happiness to those around her. The fact that he enjoys her cooking doesn't hurt either. Her seemingly eternal disposition just makes Hughes forget about his worries and the naggings of his life, and for this he's grateful-he enjoys the reprieves.
