Update because I haven't been updating much...
I've been absent from posting mostly because I've actually been working while I'm at work lately, but also because my laptop bit it big.
My laptop hasn't been performing fantastically, but it was operable. I was trying to download some free e-book reader software because I found a free e-book, but the software turned out to be a very fun virus. It managed to disable my ant-virus and turn my laptop into a zombie. Every time I turned it on, my icons would show up on the desktop, but any actions I took were returned with more or less a blank stare. Fortunately it responded to Trey after a lot of nudging and I was able to back up my files before Trey reformatted the whole thing. It was a pain in the ass and took most of the weekend to fix, but the difference is night and day. It's like getting a new computer for free! Well, not free, I had to make Trey a tasty fine dinner in return: Italian herb-crusted salmon with sauteed squash and yams with garlic couscous. It was top-shelf. I may have to post some pics later.
I'm actually posting from work right now because I finally have some time to piddle. Ever since I got back from the holidays, we've been scrambling to finish our Decontamination series so we can move on to Industrial Fire Brigades. Now it's done and the film crew is in Corpus Christi all week for a shoot, so I get to play around a bit again. Yay!
Here's a treat for ya. I was a non-ambulatory victim yet again for decontamination procedures and had to get sprayed with cold water in 20 degree weather. He are some of the highlights:
The firefighters were excited about playing dress up. Notice the snow on the ground behind them?
Here's me getting an armpit full o' cold water as they washed the "wound" on my arm. The water was freezing on the tarp as we were filming.
I was a good sport about it, although I don't look too happy here. Oh yeah, and my gore makeup skills are bomb, I know.
