Brain Cells r Flickern Like Neon Tube Lights at that Seedy Ol' Motel

My right eye keeps twitching. It's been twitchin' for days now. The apples r gettin stuck. Yeow...

My job is so weird. I never feel like I know what I'm supposed to be doing or if I'm doing things correctly. Is that last statement expressing two thoughts or is one rephrasing the other? Hmm. That pretty much sums up my thought process this week.

I've basically spent the day perusing the internet in search of truth and/or mild entertainment. The only real work I did today was interview our operations manager for this brief video introduction for trade shows, but that was interupted when Microsoft Support called to work on his computer. This office has endless computer problems. The only reason I can search the internet all day with confidence is because I know they don't have the ability to monitor my computer usage. With someone's computer crashing every other week, they don't really sweat what we see.

I just went to my supervisor to ask for another project. He wants me to review and rewrite this article for their catalog that is a pretty big mess. I was happy to do so until he suggested, "Maybe we should just scrap it and write a totally new article. Let me know if you have any ideas." Grrr, that basically why I'm stuck on my other project. I'm better at fine-tuning other people's writing; I hate building things from the ground up. But ya, know, beggers can't be choosers.

I fear that my mind is getting soft. I feel like I can't think as clearly as I could in college. Arrgh, I want to go back... I need to find ways to keep my mind active, like learn a new language or solve some puzzles.

Save my brain, Internet!

or...

Someone, save my brain from the internet!
