Eighth Test

Whatever happened a few days ago was awful. If I had to compare it to being completely frozen it was worse. At least when I couldn't move I could still think like myself. It was as if something had a hold of your soul and wasn't letting it act normally. I wanted to ask Doctor Stein about it, but I can't find him anywhere. I guess the only adult ( Read more... )

It was absolutely horrendous. I almost came to... terms... with...

I can't even say it.

I think the scientists might be playing around with the effects of the chips. They're too hazardous...

If you could come to terms with that it might be a good thing.

I didn't think they could control us to that sort of extent. It was bad enough finding out me and Soul couldn't match out wavelengths. I fear with Doctor Stein gone out chances of finding it and getting it out are lesser too.

No it isn't! My aesthetic was gone... nothing was beautiful.

So he's definitely gone then? Great... apparently these chips are capable of more than we could've imagined. The faster they can get out, the better... Soul got his out, how?

When you freeze and can't function, it's really difficult to deal with you know.

I haven't seen him at all, and Papa couldn't find him anywhere. His frequency is also gone so it's safe to say he's not around anymore.

They move the location of the chip every so often, I think they did it around the time I arrived though I can't be sure. One of the doctors figured out the old one, which was where Soul had his.

I don't stop functioning... it's just delayed a tad. They're seriously not as bad as you think they are...

He probably is. Well, even though it makes us one doctor short, at least it makes us one soul safer.

I wasn't aware of that. Proves to be more of a challenge...

Don't think I forgot you abandoning me on our extra curricular studies. Even if it came out fine.

It makes it difficult. I can still wield Soul but I can't for long without damage.

It wasn't all my fault. Liz pressured me into it.

Ah. I wonder if there's a way to overpower the chip. Surely, it has to have limitations. And if you're capable of wielding Soul for any period of time, the chips aren't completely controlling... yet, at least. It couldn't be said for certain unless someone can find out how strong it is.

I don't know, whenever I handle him it's like that time we couldn't match up. It makes it difficult, I know other people can't do anything at all with it in so I don't know how much they control with people.

I was just saying to Soul that maybe someone out there could sense the chips and find them. Or, we could go see if the hospital has any equipment we could use.

I see. It might depend on the person, on the extent of the chip's ability. I'm just speculating.

Hmm... there might be. Perhaps if we could find some sort of X-ray machine? ...isn't the hospital marked as dangerous, though?

It is, that's why I plan on working a small group to go in. A few people go in and out of it so if we planned and found people willing to help it shouldn't be that bad.

That's a smart idea. I'm willing to help any way possible.

It's better than doing nothing and feeling useless, right?
