gifs can always express my feelings perfectly

Work today was really interesting. Katie, my new boss (as of like, 2 months ago) has COMPLETELY changed the place and its so awesome now. There's also another girl working there (she told me her name and I forgot it, story of my life) for experience to complete her Biology degree who is amazing and helped out a lot as well. It's so neat. We actually have an explanation for why we keep African animals in a supposedly Texas natives exhibit now!

And check out the new classroom:

Everything is great except the crickets/mealworms. If you have ever/currently own multiple cricket eaters, you would know that this set up sucks.

I keep trying to tell them that its futile to try and actually keep a cricket bin clean for any extended period of time, but they just keep trying to keep crickets in a fancy cage with dirt and wood and all that jazz, not to mention its near impossible to catch the damn things with all this extra shit in the cage. It's disgusting enough as it is, thanks.

Just dump some newspaper in a huge recycling bin and do clean sweeps every couple days, I say. We have it set up at my summer job like that- I work with about 70 animals at the middle school animal science labs during the summer. Its a lot more work than the Nature Center, not to mention that the volunteers are completely clueless and ENRAGING because they're generally in that terrible preteen stage... but I'll save that story for another day.

In other news, 24 ep 17 whining/raging, spoilers ahoy:

I was told couple days ago that someone dies in April on 24, and Jack goes on a roaring rampage of revenge as a result. Of course I assumed it was the rumour mill because a roaring rampage of revenge isn't a way I pictured them wanting to go out, but lo and behold, the recent press release.

As the country reels from the day’s devastating events, stalwart President Taylor attempts to resuscitate the peace agreement, the cornerstone of her administration. Much to her dismay, she is forced to solicit the services of disgraced former President Logan (guest star Itzin). Meanwhile, Jack Bauer makes an unprecedented emotional move that triggers the unthinkable, and back at CTU, Chloe is charged with new responsibilities in the all-new “Day 8: 8:00 AM-9:00 AM” episode of 24 airing Monday, April 12 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (TWF-817) (TV-14 L, S, V)

I mean, part of me is just confused by the wording of that sentence. How does an "emotional move" trigger the unthinkable? "The unthinkable" makes me assume someone dies.

Then I remember: It's 24, someone has to die. No one ever gets injured, you either die in a overly dramatised way, savin the country, or drop like a fly. Obviously this could only be like 6 people, and logically only 2. It's either Hassan or Renee. Chloe's at CTU, the Bauer bunch is in Cali. Not to mention, the actress playing Renee is preggers in real life.

So, Jack proposes to Renee in the middle of a gunfight or something, and she goes "what?" because its the middle of a gunfight and then gets shot? I just don't see Renee's death happening any other way with the press release wording like...that. Seriously, wtf. How many "emotional moves" have you made recently that have TRIGGERED THE UNTHINKABLE?

I know there's been some serious speculation about Jack becoming the mask and turning terrorist. That spoiler I mentioned really makes it seem like Renee. I think you may have kicked the dog with a steel-toed boot here, 24.

:(

EDIT: Okay, I'm such a fail that I didn't even know the spoiler was in TV Guide. Here it is...
In the midst of the escalating crisis, JB somehow finds time for romance with colleague Renee Walker (Annie Wersching). When tragedy strikes, Jack spends the rest of the season seeking vengeance.

...oh man, we might as well just end all speculation. They even put the sentences right next to each other. POOR RENEE. I also just noticed the "S" for intense sexual situations in the ratings. Even better, 24. I know I like to get it on after being awake for 11 hours and raped 5 hours previously. What.
