So it was bound to happen at some point and I will go ahead and submit an explanation of my activities so we understand one another.
It's not really about nazism, more the totalitarianism. Nazis being the most easily identified and universally despised totalitarian regime makes their image fun to play with. They are really pretty marching in big circles with torches and so homo-erotic in "Triumph of the Will". Bad politics, great sense of design.
Racism is as useless as xenophobia, white power, black pride, and the republican party. I don't embrace, espouse, or promote any of these concepts. If you're wondering I'm Pole, German Jew, and Iroquois. Not exactly the master race.
Just for the record, Colonel Klink was played by Werner Klemperer, a Jewish guy with black wife. Yes he was a funny Nazi, dressed in a Totenkopf SS uniform. (The guys that ran the camps)
