So, time for a smallish update.
Made it to Calgary, finally, things are going ok. Its a great city, very cyber corporate chic. It reminds me of a real life Night City from the cyberpunk rpg. So far the people here are super friendly, maybe a little bit clique driven but still polite. No surprise really, its not a huge city... yet.
The amount of money here is insane, every oil company in the world has a major office here. The downtown core reflects that. Its hard to describe it though, Im really not that great with descriptive writing.
The bus trip out was mostly ok, I had double seats to sleep on throughout most of the ride, it was awesome to see the various terrain changes again, the transition from Ontario to the prairies is always mind blowing. Those with short legs and extra cash should definately take a bus accross this country, I think everyone should see it at least once.
I ran into an old courier friend from Oddawa, was immediately offered a reference and told of companies that are hiring... Im tempted to go back on the road, but I kind of swore id never do that work again. Ill see if I can get by with music and design for awhile, though id like to drop a resume off at Big Rock Brewery, the amount of beer employees get is insane, there is also a plastic bag factory I may be able to work for. How wierd of a job is that?
Hmmm... no phone here yet, getting ahold of my mom is a pain, Ive been corresponding with my Aunt over email, she is helping to communicate. Im sure ill be able to visit Mom in august sometime, if she doesnt come here to see me before that. Ahh well its been close to 10 years, Im sure a few more weeks wont kill anyone :(
Right, thats about it for now, I will try and update more often. I just always seem to forget the interesting things that happen and neglect this stupid journal.
