That song was on the radio at work today. Not the Bowie version, but a cover by another band. It made me happy and I sang along. I'm listening to it now, no wait, now it's Kooks. =D ( Read more... )

Then I might go for a bath before reading in bed. I feel so happy despite my tiredness, I don't know how I'll make it through the next week.

I actually do all my best reading in the bath... until the book or newspaper falls in.

Also, books tend to go wibbly after they've been exposed to humid air. Someone should invent bath books for adults, like the ones you get for little kids.

(fun1) D00d3!1 Thanks, that cheered me up, but I'm afraid I can't be bothered to have a bath now. And I don't know if I will read, because the book I'm reading is pretty depressing and at times remindful of current unpleasantness. You know you could be the next Douglas Adams. =O

Oh, I'm not that good. Not at all.

Speaking of depressing books, the last book I read (A Storm of Swords by George R R Martin) was pretty depressing and the next volume doesn't come out till September. I wanted to punch the book it was so bad.

But was it badly written or just depressing? Valley of the Dolls is a great book. It's just really sad reading about such empty lives, not to mention suicide and drug abuse. About the only books I've read that don't depress me are Terry Pratchette ones, which I read between other books to keep myself from becoming suicidal. I better go out and buy one soon or else I'll be stuck.
