Today is the Day of Silence, but I can't exactly be silent at a job where I'm constantly required to ask, "what can I get for you?" also, my English teacher would have probably found it extremely rude if I had stayed silent all throughout my conference with her this morning about my paper.
That was awkward. She read over my works cited page and saw The Purity Myth, and asked me what it was.
ME: "It's about how society expects girls to stay virgins forever, otherwise they're whores. Basically, the author is saying that our culture determines a woman's worth based only on her sexuality."
HER: "I completely disagree, but I'm glad you're reading that."
Passive aggression, way to go!
That woman makes me want to drown myself.

Oh well. It's Friday and I get to see Hannah Montana tomorrow :3
