Mom dragged me along with her and her friend to see Grease at the Orpheum last night. I was really apprehensive since I think musicals are ridiculous (except Mamma Mia!, of course.). I've never cared to see the movie but I've heard most of the songs before and thought they were annoying. (They were, but I think Olivia Newton John's voice just makes everything sound a million times worse.)
It was silly, like I expected. I was disappointed with Sandy by the end. Danny goes around whining that she "broke his heart" all because Sandy refused to have sex with him at the drive-in. Then later, she decides to give in an lets Frenchy give her the skanky makeover. She prances around in those ridiculous pants and decides to give Danny another chance.
The end.
How lame.
But hey, it was the 50's.
I used to wish the 80's had never existed as a decade, but now that's how I feel about the 50's. Hahahahaha.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that a car accident happened RIGHT in front of me on the way to school Monday 0.0
I was in the far right lane, and some dumbass in the middle lane decided to move over without looking and smashed into the pickup that was in front of me. The car pushed the pickup off the road. Luckily, there was no one else in the middle lane so I moved the fuck over (after looking first, of course) and watched the pickup drive off-road for a while, nearly hitting signs and trees. The car pulled onto an entrance ramp and stopped, and the truck followed once the driver got control again.
Scaaaary.
