Fingers Cut Megamachine - Pipe Dreams ep
This is another collection of songs written by Devon Williams that initially, I overlooked. It's more stripped down than the previous FCMM full-length but its got some really great songs. It has some crappy synth keyboard patches that pad through some of the songs but it works. Seems reminiscent of some mid-80's Cure songs. The first track is probably my least favorite, as it seems to go on forever. However, the rest of the songs are really great and kind of sad because it has that "this is the last thing we'll do as a band" thing about it.
I would highlight the best songs on the ep but it would probably include all of them minus the first song. Strangely enough, the first song is one of the only songs written by FCMM that I can recall is written in a minor key. Maybe it was just too far of a stretch for me to handle.
