Pantsie 3.0

It's time for a system upgrade.

I've been really happy with Pantsie 2.0, the version that transformed Pantsie 1.0 from HR professional and musical weekend warrior to a full-time professional singer, a part-time HR consultant, and a fledgling voice teacher.  2.0's interface is much more consistent with the designer's intent and all of her functionality is being put to use.  There are no modules or features that are hanging out in the breeze waiting for a savvy superuser to take advantage of them.  This version has more consistent up time in crises and she processes things more quickly and efficiently.  It's a healthier model overall.

Version 3.0 has a similar interface to 2.0, but some serious work is being done on the back end...

Pantsie 3.0...

*  eats when she's hungry
*  eats anything she wants to eat, focusing more on stomach hunger than mouth hunger
*  is not concerned with her size and dresses comfortably at all times
*  wears clothing that fits her - heart, soul, and professional persona
*  attends to her own beauty with care and reverence
*  uses fitness to build up better energy and endurance in her work
*  sleeps when she wants to sleep, even if it means missing out on an activity
*  practices music for herself - piano, voice, kazoo, what have you
*  does not feel cocky in a small pond
*  does not feel like a fraud in a big pond
*  manages anxiety in a positive, compassionate, non-destructive way
*  isn't afraid of answering the phone when it rings (a hold over from the HR days)
*  doesn't drag her feet when it comes to communication
*  finds creative ways to learn music properly
*  is intrinsically driven
*  does not measure her self-worth by external opinion - whether positive or negative
*  has something to say, as an artist and as a human being
*  apologizes infrequently
*  gives compliments liberally and generously
*  volunteers her time while keeping her core energy and identity whole
*  thinks before she says yes
*  thinks before she says no
*  treats the people and animals in her inner circle with more care
*  takes risks
*  doesn't have to be right
*  doesn't have to fix everything, even if she can see the trouble coming from a mile away
*  recognizes that success is a team effort and it doesn't sit on her shoulders alone
*  treats relationships (including the one with herself) with as much importance as achievement
*  schedules time to love, to rest, to recover, and to process
*  forgives herself for getting sick, feeling tired, and making mistakes

Generally speaking, this new version would be more compassionate with herself and others.  Some significant load testing has been done over the past few years with 2.0, and she's learned that anxiety can cause the system to break down.  3.0 should be committed and driven, but not at the expense of her relationships, health, or identity.

Also, it occurs to me that I've been working with software engineers way too long.  This analogy should not have stretched as far as it did.
