The thing about these matters, is you can call it whatever you want as long as you keep from screwing up.

Now, the way I see it, the major problem we have here is fact that there's a rather large animal in our way. We send a boat out, it gets smashed. Now, I know you fella's have tried distracting it already, and that went...less than ideal.

The problem was, you folks are relying on a magical solution when a mechanical one will suffice. Did you know even in this time they have remote controlled boats as toys for children?

What I'm suggesting, is you three use that charisma of yours to get the folks here to build you some remote control boats of a slightly larger size. We use those as decoys, and draw the monsters attention. Then our one real boat slips around the back of the island, picks up our distressed compatriots, and spirits them home.

He used to be based in NYU, I can't say where he is now. Still considering he helped build the damn radios, I'm sure he's got one you can use to contact him.
