In an alarming turn of events, our neighbour - our other half, if you will - has put their half of the house up for sale!!! :

You can see our garage in that pic, and our bedroom window.
I feel somewhat betrayed, even though we have made no effort besides friendly hellos to get to know any of our immediate neighbours. In house for sale: Pierre & unfriendly wife. In across the street duplex: happy mom, suspicious dad, cute little girl & Maverick the poodle; in the other half of across the street duplex, army guy/guys. And next door, Mike, the guy who sometimes mows the lawn, and the guy with the crap-arse mini-van which he has been doing body-work on since we moved in (only the hood). What's next? Maverick & family? Army guys? Van guy? So much instability. I can't handle it.
I am sad that Pierre and his unfriendly wife are leaving. They have been here since the beginning - since the homes were built! I never thought they'd be fickle like us and sell when the market is good - have you no sense of home?? Have you no sense of family?? Have you no sense of DECENCY?? (referring to the price here). I am also sad that they may in fact get close to the asking price for their place - are you kidding me??!! It's a half-duplex!! It's off-season!! Crazy.
Um, I think that's all for today.
