[Crowe's usually at one of two places - the park or the rec center. Today it's the latter, and he's working on his tennis skills. He's new to the sport so it's slow-going, but he's got the quick reflexes to keep up. However, when he sees his friend approach, he'll stop and hesitantly ask:]

I'm glad I missed the lock up though, I don't think I could deal with that.

I don't think anyone's heard from him since that week, besides his usual morning delivers. Which is fine by me.
