YAY. This packed a startling punch - that image of older!Sheppard, not meeting Rodney's eyes, and the "Or, or, did you not want me to try?" - and the happy ending felt earned and perfect. Yay, gentle kissing with pants!
Pants! I'm glad the ending felt earned, because my original idea for the ending just failed miserably. Good to know I got where I needed to be in the end. Thanks for commenting! Post a story! *g*
Oh, I meant to ask - can I cross-post the fic I wrote last night to this comm, or should it be something new? I'm hoping to write some snippety thing anyway, but I was wondering if I could post yesterday's fic here too.
I started to get flashes of Hillary Clinton and those black pantsuits she always wears when I was writing that description. *g*
I'm glad you enjoyed the story! I had the idea while I was listening to Beth Orton's cover of "The Sisters of Mercy," which is probably where the "a little sad" part comes from.
Sorry, I should add rules to the comm info! I've been crazy busy and some of the details of this comm thingy have gotten past me. Thanks for asking.
The idea was to celebrate Punk's month of McShep posting. So we picked a day to do it, to try to concentrate the effect of the yay. I'm sure no one would object to you posting tomorrow, though!
I think a gen story would be fantastic, but in terms of pairings, since she limited herself to John/Rodney, I think the comm should as well.
