Honestly, I don't know how much farther I can go with this either, which makes me feel like shit because I'm the one who started this whole side, but it's just... too frustrating, you know? I'm thinking, interviews with the phone list, maybe a chat with David, but it's just not coming together the way I'd hoped, and if KrycekMun's going to keep asking that we only go after David when Lexi's not there, then there's not a lot left to do.
And of course, next week's episode could potentially set off a huge angsty angle, so we'll have to see where that goes, too.
Honestly, I think I'm just going to turn her more back toward show stuff, and random hanging-out-ness with Smeck, Mulder and company. Do plots if they come up, but not seek them out like I did with this one. And pairing her off'd be nice, but she's still being a pain about that...
That's the other thing, that I've just been reminded of RPing with Clay. It's also bloody frustrating for my other pups who are involved from the 'friends of David' end of things. There's not a lot to be done from that angle, either.
Some of them could go after Krycek, but we know they'd never accomplish anything except dying ... would they?
S'easy for the feds--they get pulled. Everyong has a boss, somewhere. Even Liv and Elliot, so I'm thinking Cragen's had it and says so. Gives them till the end of the week for interviews off the phone list--revised to be Clay, Alan, Lilah, Abby and his mother since OrliMun asked for no new stuff, and his mother's changed her number and lives in Barstow so that'll be a dead end--and if they can't find something specifically pointing toward a sexually related offense, they have to hand the whole mess, federal warrant and all, over to Narcotics, because that's all they've got. Once it's in Narc's hands, it's our of hers. Nice angry, angsty post from her about failing again, and it's done. Well, "done."

I never said that anywhere. In fact I've rather been expecting someone is going to slap the cuffs on Alex sometime soon. The trick is going to be finding evidence that Alex has actually done anything illegal as opposed to morally reprehensible with the evidence you have now. The core data bases show Alex is clean. Yes, Mulder's got the old paper records... but a decent lawyer would argue that they're likely forged because Mulder has a grudge. Yes that's his blood on the sheets, so what? Alex will argue it was consensual and heaven help David if he disagrees. Yes, David had Alex's drugs, but Alex will deny giving them to him.
Still, if any of the good guys feel the desire to throw Alex in jail for a few days or knock him around... I'm cool with that... but I'd rather not stay in jail for more than a week or two... after which you can blame the lawyers for the breakdown of modern civilization... oh, and please don't wreck his gun hand. Thanks.

Muppet told me you had asked that Alex not be there. I was running off what she said when planning arrest stuff. Sorry if I misunderstood. And it wouldn't be fair to have him in jail for longer than probably overnight--between the lack of evidence and the fact that it's just not engaging to have him stuck in prison, there'd be no point.
But the whole thing's getting wrapped on this end anyway due completely to that lack of evidence, so there's really nothing to worry about anyway.

And let's not forget what Stauf has up his sleeves. Big lacy things that they are. ;)
I think it looks like all hands are up for ditching Krycek ... but how do we do it, plotwise?
