He's goin' back east with Mr Mac's daughter, yeah? That's the last I heard. She's like a cop now, too.

Yeah, alright. Same old. Kinda in limbo now I decided not to go away to college.

Well, we're waitin' on that... J's gotta think about somethin' first. She is a cop. Got stabbed and everythin'. Kinda scary t'think about.

Ya ain't goin'? Why not?

Hell yeah. I don't think I could ever do nothin' like becomin' a cop. Not really cut out for that. Plus, my grandma would worry. It's cool seein' Street happy, though. Never thought he suited Lyla that much.

'Cause I'm stayin' to look after Grandma. She was goin' to need to go into a home and I just couldn't. That's not her home.

Thank god someone else is on me and Mac's side. And Tyra's, I guess. Don't think she's ever appreciated Lyla with anyone, same as me. You're grandma's such a sweetie. I think not bein' a cop for her sake is a good plan.

What about ya art and stuff?

I just don't think you gotta date cheerleaders just 'cause you're a footballer. And I mean, the way she cheated on Street when he was in hospital was just... that was wrong.

I thought I could go to a college nearby, or a community college. I can always do art later. Right now, I gotta think of Grandma. She has a tough time when she's in strange places with strange people. She doesn't understand.

Yeah, it was. But it's over, and hopefully she's gone now.

Does Julie know ya stayin'? Are ya even still seein' her? Nothin' wrong with local colleges, or lookin' after ya grandma. I always thought ya were pretty brave takin' it all on.

Julie cheated on me. It damn well hurts. Things ain't been the same between us since.

She knows but we don't talk much these days. She wanted to try things again, but I dunno. I guess I was too hurt. Yeah, I don't mind. She's Grandma, ya' know? She's the most important person to me. It's nothin' really.

I don't really know how things could... but then I guess I'm kinda also used t'bein' someone's in between girl.

Can't really blame ya. It'd be nice to see ya happy too, Matt. Ya deserve it just as much. It's somethin', but I like it's nothin' to ya. Means ya still grounded.

But ya' seein' Riggs now, yeah? How's that goin'?

I don't mind Dillon. Landry's still in school for another year and I can still watch the games and stuff. If Grandma gets real sick, then she might still need to go to a home, but until that happens, I'm just gonna keep takin' care of her. She looked after me for so long. It's her turn now.

Yeah, I am. It's goin'. Still ain't sure if he's happy, or not, but he's livin' with me and J, and he's still here. That's somethin', right? Figured if he didn't want a bar of it, he'd just up and leave.

I never did either, but I wanna try my luck east and see what happens. For all I know I'll come runnin' back to the safety of Dillon. You're one of a kind, Matt. Anyone ever tell ya that?

Yeah, well, Riggs could be given the keys to Disneyland and no one would even really know if he was happy. He's got a unique way of showin' it, is all. Ya' know how many girls he's had. If he's stickin' with ya', it's got to say somethin'.

So, ya' goin' east too? When are ya' goin'? Well, yeah... I guess some people do. Ain't anybody that sticks around too long to make me think there's much in it though.
