"Stop running, start drinking!"

Hmmm...my head's about to explode. Well, it sure feels that way. I've been alternating between studying for tomorrow's test and doing laundry all morning (and now I'm starving!). But at least I'll have clean clothes to wear!
Yesterday, my track team had our first track meet of the season at the Appalachian State indoor track. It wasn't really a serious one - our coach simply put almost everyone in the mile and the 4X400 (at least all of the cross-country team). And, truthfully, me doing a 400 is just sad. I'm slow, and definitely not a sprinter - which is why I'm a distance runner. As I take around five minutes to actually wake up, the best part of the mile was that I had a great kick at the end (and let's not even talk 'bout the 400^^).
My throat is still a little sore from the horrible air circulation at that track. Well, it may have been better than most, but I could barely breathe after the mile and my throat felt as though it were rubbed raw. So, almost everyone looked like they were coming down with cold.
However, we did have quite interesting warm-ups and cool-downs. We ran them outside (even though it was freezing, it was away from the track). Outside, it seemed that many people were holding a tail-gate party, and it was from those people that the title of this post came from. They were quite funny, as some actually cheered on our team (they actually know who we are? Many in our state have no idea), and yelled other interesting random things at us.
Ah, I think I'm going to lunch soon!
And I also really need to get back to my studies! Yippee! Well, I do think I deserve a reward for so much work - so I'll probably treat myself to Starbucks or Panera tonight (and if someone doesn't agree...don't say it!).

And I watched DN episode 9! Truthfully, I think it may be the best one yet. But, L did reveal himself to Kira in it - and that part was just plain awesome! I love the blue and red highlights while they are conversing during the ceremony.
Okay, them finally interacting is what I've been waiting for since the show started. And, next is the tennis match!
