I decide it was much more important to get Blake's birthday gift a few weeks early then to study for my STATs quiz. So Tiffany and I met in the cafeteria. Both complaining about how we don't want to take the quiz, and we don't understand the material and at the rate she is going we are going to be done with the book in 6 weeks...so that leaves 5 weeks of what?? We hunted the teacher down to ask her some questions, mainly to try to push her over and talk her out of giving the quiz. We started with asking for it to be take-home, that got shot down, then open notes, shot down...then GROUP quiz. She liked that idea. I think this is the line that got her..."you will have less to grade!" After a brief lecture on the new material, she says, "Okay, I had promised a few students a group quiz. Get in groups of 4-5"..man, we are good! Too bad our group members were not up to par with the material either! We tried to get the teach to help us, she did actually, and then of course I encouraged that we get 1/2 credit on some of the problems. I just found this story to be totally live journal worthy.
