Detective Don Flack, was walking through the lobby of the NYPD crime lab, when he noticed someone familiar near the front desk, a women who had shoulder length brown hair, ocean blue eye’s, wearing a pair of jeans and a hooded sweatshirt, going closer he noticed a black cast on her left wrist, a stitched gash at her right temple, other cuts and bruises and a black eye consisting on her left eye, but he also noticed it was his partners baby cousin Madison Messer from England. As he reached the women he put a hand on her arm making her jump.
“Hey Baby girl” don said
“Jesus Christ, I wish people would stop doing that” Madison exclaimed
As she turned around she looked into the eyes of the man she hasn’t seen in 4 years, she immediately jumped into his arms and started to cry.
“Hey, hey, hey shshshshshsh, come on Maddy why you crying and what happened to you” don asked concerned
“I suppose you won’t believe me I got into a car crash, well I’m crying because I missed you and what happened to me was my psycho ex boyfriend” she explained
“Yeah well I missed you to….. Erm did you say psycho ex boyfriend did this too you” don asked through clenched teeth while thinking ‘im gunna kill him’
“Please don’t make me explain now, I just wanna see Danny” Maddy cried again
Don just nodded and went to the front desk and got a visitors pass, then grabbed Madison by her good hand and escorted her to the elevators, as they were walking, Madison noticed some glances of the people, immediately thinking ‘god do I look that bad’. The ride up to the crime lab was quiet; Madison was kept calm by the hand in hers. As they reached the floor Don had to gently dragged her behind him because she would not budge, as they walked down the corridor, Maddy her a familiar new York accent that mad her stop dead in her tracks, her cousin Daniel Messer of the NYPD crime lab.
“Hey Flack, thought you went home already” Danny said
“I was on my way out when I ran into someone down stairs” don explained
“so what you doing back up here then” Danny asked
Don didn’t say anything he just moved out of the way, to show him Madison, when he saw her he gasped and shouted loudly.
“OH MY GOD BABY GIRL WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU”
Madison just ran into his arms and started to cry again.
