Gotta <3 New York

This Sunday in New York I went for a Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performance and then let the four hours with friends fly by in a red-velvet, hookah-pipe-on-each-table smoking bar called Karma. (Not that any one of us smoked or we bothered to get the hookah puffing, but the sweetness of the second-hand smoke in some of my clothes still serves as a reminder of that evening.) This was all great, but, knowing my friends and suspecting the professionalism of the London Orchestra, somewhat expected. What really made my day and surprised me was visiting the newly opened Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle at the corner of the park. I simply did not know that this building was built, and there it was. Shops like Cole Haan and Williams-Sonoma, beautiful architecture with a large atrium space in the center, exquisite food selection at the Whole Foods store that takes up the whole Lower Level, average Manhattan consumers that this place is targeted at roaming around, promising sign "Jazz at Lincoln Center". All this impressed me and evoked love for the city that makes this scene a natural part of itself. I felt happy and proud for this new addition to the Central Park skyline.

And here is an article about it, it has somewhat of a gastronomical slant, but still gives you all the major facts.
