back at home
i don't want to get into what happened that night at the madrid airport...dont wanna remember...
so i'm home...suffered from some jetlag...nothing serious. did shopping with my family. random story: so i was discussing the difference in education in europe than in the states...and my mom agreed (for once)...my mom told me how she had to memorize all the countries in the world and their capitals, major rivers, etc...my mom was asking me questions like: what's the main language of sri lanka (tamil and something else), capital of South Africa (which is Pretoria, not Cape Town which is what I had thought...Cape town is the legislative center.)...and yo out the cut my dad was answering the questions...my dad can BARELY write english, let alone write in spanish...all he knows is numbers, yet he knows all the capitals of the countries of the world. random fact about my dad.
did some shopping, i'm not into the christmas season at all this year...maybe because it came too quickly. i already know what i'm getting this xmas which takes away from the suspense. ah well i can't complain either. i saw my cousin and we didnt go to ny due to random events...i may have the chance to go to times sq. for new years eve...we'll see.
