Happy Halloween
This was a pretty good weekend. I went and saw Saw 2 (ugh that sounded so dumb), and it was pretty good. I enjoyed it a lot, not as good as the first but still really good nonetheless. I recommend seeing the original first though as you can follow the second one just fine without seeing it, but you won't enjoy the first one as much as the sequel gives a lot of stuff away from the first. I took my youngest sister, Coreen, to the Shedd Aquarium on Sat. which was fun if not for the fact that I unwisely took the expressway to get to her house which set me back nearly an hour and a half as it was gridlocked. I wish we had more time there as we didn't get to see everything but we still had a lot of fun. Dinner was a repeat of what happened earlier as every place was over an hour wait...we ended up hitting this local Mexican place in Oak Forest called Villa Rivera which is awesome and I know some of the people that work there, very good Mexican place...not a dive joint like most that pop up. I also spent time with my other sister, Katrina when I went back to their house to drop off Cori. I ended up staying until like two or so in the morning...hanging out with them is always so much fun and I just don't want to go. Some serious discussion was had though and I think I'm gonna kinda work on a gameplan for the future to help them out because unfortunately things aren't all hunky dory at their house and they really don't want to be there which sucks because I can't do anything about it to help them. It was good to find out some things even though it's not always stuff you want to hear...it's nothing outright horrible, but it's just negative things that aren't cool. I also found out my dad is planning to move in a couple years down to some southern state like Georgia or Tennessee when he retires...interesting stuff as I knew none of this. Hopefully, my future plan works out and regardless it's just a good thing to set forth for me being more independent and getting my shit together even if I don't need to help out my sisters as much as I'm planning to.
I also took my car in today for an oil change and had to drop an extra sixty bucks to fix the supercharger and power steering...it's not really that bad pricewise but it's extra money I didn't plan on spending regardless. I'm probably gonna head out to my sisters' again tonight as they're having some bonfire for Halloween and I have no plans so why not spend some time over there. I also have to stop by my boss's house and give bday gifts to his younger set of twin daughters who turn twenty today. Hopefully, I'll bump into Alicia sometime today too...more on that later. Rollins AND Wendy's birthday in a couple days...woohoo, this should be a cool week as ROH and Shimmer are this weekend also! I'm outta here, time for some much needed grocery shopping.
