Life Update

I've been meaning to post for a bit over a week now, but due to computer issues just haven’t been able to. But now that my PC is up and running here is my life update in no particular order:

I am a college graduate! I finished my last term paper on May 13 and graduated on May 14. My actual diploma will be mailed in late June after my final grades have been reviewed. I am quite glad to be done with school.

I’m now over 35 weeks pregnant, so baby Coryvin will be here pretty soon. Personally I’m beginning to be of the opinion that sooner is better. At last weeks prenatal I was told that he was probably 5 to 6 pounds already, and since then I have been having Braxton Hicks contractions a lot… like 20-30 of them per day; they are getting quite old.

My computer has all but been replaced, so I am hopeful that it will work more reliably from here out. I have been having problems with it for nearly 6 months now, here is a synopsis: The power supply fried in December, so we replaced that, then we discovered the video card had been damaged, and replaced that in February. Then there were problems again in March so in early April and we replaced the motherboard. After replacing the motherboard it worked until May when I had to under clock the CPU to keep it from crashing. I am grateful that this temporary fix held until after school got out; but it didn’t hold much longer. So part of my graduation cash has gone to replacing my CPU and Memory. I just hope this is the last problem I have to fix on it for a very, very long time.

Last Friday was me and Brandon's 5 year anniversary. We went to a spectacular, romantic dinner at The Palace Arms in the Brown Palace hotel. The food was amazing, and although we ended up spending a small fortune it will be a night we can always remember. After dinner we went to the Pavilions and watched Hitch Hiker’s Guide to The Galaxy. All in all, it was a great night.

Preparing the house for the baby is a lot harder than expected. I figured that once I was out of school it would be relatively easy to get the apartment clean, given my strong motivation. This has proven to be an erroneous assumption. I quickly discovered that cleaning while 8 months pregnant is not an easy task. After just an hour or two of picking things up and carrying them across the apartment to put them away I find myself exhausted; the Braxton Hicks contractions mentioned above don’t help with this either.

Well that covers everything I can think of; but I have probably missed a bunch. All in all things are going well.
